THE SUNSET

The red-orange sun and its shiny rays,
Warming up my face. Staring at the sun
Hurts my eyes but it’s a price I can pay.
Quickly, take a picture before it sets.
Searching for my phone nowhere to be seen.
It’s lost somewhere close, I panic it must
Be near. Found it, what a relief. Quickly
Before it sets I must put it in frame.
I set up the shot, it’s so beautiful.
All set up, CLICK! It’s not the same, CLICK! CLICK!
Again and again, yet nothing has changed.
I am stressing to capture this sunset.
After so many tries disappointment,
coursing through my veins. Anger and sadness
Fill my body, causing me pain. CLICK! CLICK!
Such a beautiful sight, a shame it can’t be encapsulated
Forever.
